"Parasyte -the maxim-" Joins Toonami This Fall

A new show for Toonami was announced in an unusual way. A bus was spotted at Anime Expo with an advertisement stating that Parasyte -the maxim- will be joining the Toonami lineup this Fall. Jason DeMarco, head of Toonami, has officially confirmed this development via Twitter. Sentai Filmworks (the licensee of the show), however, is still keeping this a secret, telling fans to stay tuned for their panel at Anime Expo later today (July 2nd) (Sentai has also, as of this writing, covered up the part of the advertisement on the bus announcing the Toonami run).

This will be Toonami's second Sentai Filmworks series, following Akame ga Kill's debut on August 8th. No announcement yet on what show will be replaced, but bets are on Sword Art Online II, since that will likely be done sometime this fall.
